he Fenny river lock in Milton Keynes is the smallest canal lock in the country. You can visit the area today and there is a nice pub there which can be enjoyed - when the country isn't placed in a coronavirus lockdown. All year around the area is beautiful and is the nicest place for a stroll along the canal.

Most towns have a huge problem with parking spaces with there often not being enough. However Milton Keynes definitely doesn't have that issue with its 20,000 spots. So if you're ever in desperate need to head over to the town for any reason, you'll never need to worry about where to park.

Back in the 70s when things were whacky and wild, Milton Keynes' architects consulted Greenwick Observatory in London to obtain an angle required for a Bucks project. Midsummer Boulevard in the town was given that name purposefully as the sun rises at its east end on the summer solstice.

If you love the outdoors then it will be very difficult to be bored in Milton Keynes, especially on those sunny days! Wilen lake is probably the most popular lake in Milton Keynes, with an array of water sports in the summer months, peaceful walk trails around the lake. The ‘Peace Pagoda’ is also located just off Wilen Lake.

MK Theatre is the most successful theatre outside the West End; the auditorium ceiling can be lowered or raised depending on the scale of the production.
